Hardware Replacing Hitachi Dvd drive! Need Help!

I have a Hitachi 0078FK DVD Drive. And my question is how do I replace it in a way that my xbox 360 recognizes the new drive? I have a new dvd drive same rom version and model. But what do I do? What steps do I have to go through(in jungle flasher)? I have my old drive hooked up to my laptop with my x360usb pro. I do not want to play back up games, I just wanna play my games with no problems, while on xbl.

Dump your old drives keys and flash them to the new drive.

That's pretty much it.

if the replacement drive really is the same rom and model rev,

why not swap the PCB? , then there is not need to flash it at all. and its 100% guaranteed to not get you flagged on Xbox Live.

just take the pcb off the old drive and swap it to the new drive. problem solved. no flashing required.

unless the pcb is what fried.

What driverdis said, if you play XBL, the fire-sure way of not getting banned is a PCB swap.

I think OP already has spoofed drive keys.
As this is over 20 days old so it's likely OP did it.

Tho I still want to know what OP did to fix his drive.
