Hard drive and Xbox 360 slim

For some reason, the Hard drive in my Xbox 360 slim just doesn't recognize it. I've being running the bad update Xbox 360 "hack".

I brought a new caddy. Not a problem, it seems. A hard drive which my computers recognize. So that's not the problem. Which is only 500GB. I wiped it clean. I also brought a Hard Drive caddy holder cage housing with SATA Cable. Thinking they might be a problem with the SATA cable.

What am I doing wrong?

You're missing the security sector.
Use hddhackr to inject a 500 GB sector into the drive and it should work, if your HDD is kind to you....
