Priiloader works for me have a few no copy saves that copy to and from sd card no probs(pc and wii)

that ignores copy protection, doesn't remove the no copy flag from the save.

EDIT: Try this: Add the following to your hacks.ini. This is mainly guess work, but I think it may work. Even if it doesn't, it should be safe, because it can easily be disabled as its a preloader hack. I'd advise maybe backing up your saves with Savegame Extractor first, just in case.

[New Remove NoCopy Save File Protection]
version=481
offset=0x813C55EC,0x813C55F0,0x8134E260,0x815C2624,0x81353F5C,0x8134E270,0x8134E
74,0x8134E278,0x8134E27C
value=0x7C000000,0x4182001C,0x7C000000,0x38600001,0x3BE00000,0x801D0024,0x540000
C,0x901D0024,0x480000188

To test it, copy a save with the hack enabled, and no other hacks enabled, then disable it, try and copy it back onto the Wii. Report back with the results.

EDIT: Sorry about the weird line formatting, just backspace before "74" and "C"

Uhhh...

I like your effort, but...

It turns out to be exactly the same as the existing Remove NoCopy Save File Protection...
(except the 7th offset and value in your hack only have 7 digits, and the last value in your hack has 9 digits, which when fixed, the hack is exactly the same, well, it matches the one I put into my hacks.ini, don't know who originally made it though...)
Which means it will only ignore the protection...

Maybe try to write an ASM routine that will edit the banner.bin to change the flag to "copyable"?
Then use preloader to patch sysmenu and inject routine into the save copying function?

It hasn't shown up right for whatever reason, but anyway. I changed several Cs to Ds in the 4th and 6th values. It was pretty much entirely guesswork based on the Gecko OS source. Considering I don't understand C source code or ASM, it was unlikely I'd be able to get it working, but I figured I'd try just in case.

I didn't notice that until just now.

And I don't know any ppc ASM either (except NOP
evil.gif
)...

Oh well. At least you tried.

I'm going to stick with the existing hack for now.

What action should I take at this point? Can anyone help me patch out the nocopy protection?

I'd advise trying to get Gecko OS Rebooter working. Seems to be the simplest way to remove the NoCopy Flag if you can't get FE100 working. Make sure your IOS36 has both trucha bug and ES_Identify/ES_DiVerify (both same thing, just different names), and if you have IOS249, make sure it has both as well.
