That took so many years for the switch 1 wouldn’t hold your breath on that for some timeAssuming it's as much of a pain to keep modded as a V1 softmod, there's no reason to. Waiting for the Switch 2 OLED + modchip combo makes more sense.
Im going to assume games play better on the switch 2, maybe not every game but enough for people to benefit from switching. There are games I consider unplayable on switch, but im fussy. That's only going to be necessary if you're going to be wanting to play NS2 exclusives like MK9. For the rest of us, the vast majority of games will still release for the NS1 (why wouldn't you, there's almost 150 million NS1s out there). I'm just going to buy one NS2 at launch, boot it up, login, set it as my primary, put it in airplane mode and change the wifi password.
Did they confirm it’s not OLED yet?The problem is the LCD screen so Idk if I really want 2 systems at launch. I'll just buy one and if they release an OLED model a few years later I will mod the first one (if there's a way to mod them).
I always buy two consoles i have three N3DSXL consoles three hackable PS4 consoles two hackable switch consoles two wii consoles one PS5 and one DSlite most of them are modded. If you have any intention on modding the thing it’s always best to to plan and buy 2 systems at launch and keep one in its box
If you have to search for one later down the line it quickly gets difficult, and expensive

I respectfully disagree. Vulnerable v1 Switches are incredibly easy to find for under $150 for the tablet.
It's not likely to get CFW. Just use that money to rebuy a Switch 2 version of the games. If you have any intention on modding the thing it’s always best to to plan and buy 2 systems at launch and keep one in its box

Yeah hypothetically any vulnerable Switch 2s would probably be firmware dependant so good luck finding a 1.0.0 years later for cheap
I'm definitely gonna buy 2 units, one at launch to keep in its box until a hack comes out. and then probably an inevitable OLED model once that comes out a few years into its lifespan, to use officially. Im still very happy with the Switch 1, and still have some backlogged games to play. Plus at this stage im more interested in playing games on either my 3DS or Xbox/PS5, and also have a huge backlog on those respective systems
