    I personally don't find insects cool, but I can certainly understand the appeal,

    If the last time the planet was super hot is anything to go by, the age of insects is just starting

    The megafauna is gonna go extinct way before these little guys, and owing to their short generation times they should be able to adapt more quickly as well
