I too installed a CIA via houston and it didnt show up on the home menu. even though it says it was completed. I named the cia file.cia and it showed on the 2ds that it was installing, with it showing the progress and everything. but it didnt show up

Go into the eshop and see if it will let you re download it

Won't launch on my 9.4 o3DS. Obviously svchax doesn't work (Freezes at "executing svchax"), but neither does memchunkhax2 (Freezes at "Succes!" after step #8, 5 times already). L+R+Down+B is broken so I need to switch the console off.

Are you still on 9.4? You can use minipasta2, and run the cia version of any cia installer you like.

Buddy of mine had that issue. It installs it to the ticket.db but for some reason not the actual CIA. He had the issue just with the app, he didn't use houston

Maybe a dumb question, if my o3ds is in 10.3 and I install a legit CIA, where will it be installed? Is it installed in the NAND?

Don't use the NAND, use SD destination.

Tried installing spoofed 1.1.0-1 exclusive video to O3DS 9.2 SysNAND (it's a NAND file so destination is NAND) with HBL launched NASA.
There was no problem from the installation, but after installed the video didn't appear.
If installing video by launching NASA in miniPasta -> HBL, then the video appears and watchable in both raw SysNAND and sigpatched SysNAND.

The 1.1.0-1 exclusive video's ID is 0004001000023000 (for US it's 24000, for EU it's 25000).
It's already existed in every O3DS's NAND, but the version & file size changed.
What my spoofing is changing 1.1.0-1's title version into current title version, by hex editing the CIA's 0x2F90's two bytes (See this page).

Try to set admin privileges to houston.exe before launching it from cmd.

Great! Installed legit CIA on my N3ds 10.5.0 !! using houston also.
Now, I followed this guide here https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/476wy5/tutorialeshop_and_online_gameplay_on_outdated/
And managed to get 10.5.0-31E...thing is, the 4 CIA I "installed" on NAND (NVer thing, and eshop), each and every single one of them gave me an error to shut down the power... Still my version went from 10.5.0-30 (or 28, 29 idk) to 10.5.0-31E
I suppose they all installed without any problem, still I'd like to know if anyone has had this issue with NASA 1.4

To overwrite NAND contents you must first uninstall the old version, then install the updated ones. This is why you get the error.

You can downgrade so you might want to do that instead of messing with frakenfirmware

So I came to conclusion that even tho the shut down error ocurred, NASA installed all to NAND without any problem. thats why I have 10.5.0-31E

My N3DS got soft bricked. Can access the recovery menu, but can't connect to the internet to update. Gives me the same error 003-1101 . And sometimes 003-2101
All my other consoles can connect...pls help
