after that I just have to export it and then use the save editor ?
Yes, export it, after you export the extra data browse you SD card and follow this path

JSKV>ExtData>Monster_Hunter_Stories>WHATEVER NAME YOU GAVE TO THE FILE

Inside the folder locate the file named: mhr_game0.sav, that's the one you have to edit

ALWAYS KEEP A FRESH BACKUP OF THE FILES YOU WANT TO EDIT, IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG YOU HAVE A BACKUP TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED FILE

After you finish editing and all just use JSKV to import the extra data

Hi @secXsQuared, first of all thank you for this editor, it's great!
But I would also like to ask for a new feature. It would be located in the Items tab, next to the buttons of "All 986x" and "Existing 999x", but instead of giving us 989/999 items, it would give like 150, 200 or something like that. Just a lesser quantity, because I don't like seeing that many items at once xD Also it would be cool if you could add some sort of a slider to those buttons, to change the number of items given, but I suppose it is hard so the 150 thing is more than enough. Thanks! :D

I used the editor to add some moeny, now it's locking me out from releasing the first 3 monsties in my box, even though they are not active members of my party anymore the game keeps telling me I can not release a monstie that's in my battle party it gest worse, if I move them and put other monsties on those first spots they are marked as if they are active in my party.

I have no parties registered, no favorites, etc. never used any of those features.

The reason you can't release them is not because of the save editor. Your Battle Party is the team used for online play, this is different from the Active Party. The game automatically defaults the first three monsters you obtain for your Battle Party. Go into the Network Battle section from the main menu then into Battle Preparation, and then Battle Party. Change it however you wish, you still need at least one monstie in the Battle Party though.

That's a reasonable request. Will add to the next release.

First of all, thanks OP for this awesome save editor :D

Second, is Dinovaldo available right now? (EU version) or locked behind DLC? I would love to have him even if i have to edit my savefile

I'm trying to find a good charm (equipment) with the two best possible skills, but I don't know what to go for exactly... Anyone has any suggestions? What I'm using now is Order Cost Down L and Soul Kinship L (so I can use monster skills much more often). Also, which monsters are unavailable in Europe version at this time? And would it be possible to edit in monsters that normally can't become monsties? Asking mainly because Versa/Makili Pietru would be really cool to have, same for fatty...

PS: @secXsQuared I played online for a while and in 17 matches I found two people using 255 attack mons, so if this gets any worse, you might want to consider limiting the editor to values like 0-254 (so it doesn't jump to 3K attack for example).

Anyone have a list of the Hex ID of all Gens. The gens found in tutorial are incomplete and with some names confusing.
I need Kinship Gen, if anyone knows ID let me know please.

@BigOnYa, and since the default emulator is below average i downloaded some "replacements" like snes9x for snes games for example

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
And I also have my ps3

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea ps3 is a beast still to today compared to most "sticks"
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you just want pi for emulation no point when Anbernic releases new shit every two seconds
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What's really cool about Pi's tho is you can have multiple SD cards with different OS on each SD card and change from say a gaming machine to a full fledged pc if wanted
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Plus all bios are set up and usually includes at least 128gbs or 64
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah but if your main goal is just to play n64 and GameCube you can save about $50 and have the portability option
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
True, but on 2 monitors at 4k. Its just want you want really, to each they own.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

    ack my throat

I need to invest in some storage totes tbh
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Tootles? Wtf
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Oh tootles
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it
