But you're going to anyways?
My post has nothing to do with the ethics of piracy, merely that this tool is legally questionable at best.
I think it would be better suited for a forum that openly promotes piracy, that has nothing to do with my ethical stance on piracy.

Come on there are many other homebrew similar to this, except this one has a cool GUI, so stop your drama about piracy or whatever. Simply don't use it if you don't want to, but no need to make a big deal about that

To be honest I'm quite surprised ticket exploitation hasn't already been banned from this forum in general as it's hard to justify their reason to exist outside piracy.
I apologize if it appears that I'm trying to create drama, I'm certainly not trying to stir the pot.

I was merely trying to point out that even the legitimate usage of tickets through homebrew lies in a rather grey legal area.
If this author wishes to justify it's existence as legitimate than he should be a bit more serious in his opening post and not use rofl emotes that seemingly imply he wishes to promote piracy.
It sends a mixed message.

It's funny, every time you say something like that, you then go and do what you say you aren't going to do. It's like when someone starts a sentence with "I'm not racist but..." or "I'm not sexist but...".

These are nonarguments to what I'm saying, and not very accurate to the situation.

I'm prefacing my argument with a statement so you know what my intentions are with the argument, but you're ignore my intentions and taking the argument out of context.
Basically by saying this you're calling me a liar, and not taking my claim at face value.
If anything THIS, ignoring my argument and trying to create one out of thin air, is intentionally stirring the pot.

I'm sorry, but this is really derailing the conversation, can we stay on topic here?

I don't understand how "antipiracy" dudes are mad to this, I mean, this is not new on the 3DS scene, this started with ticket installation on the new FBI, with CIAngel then and TikDevil, but you got mad by seeing on a "basically" CIAngel's nice looking GUI.

I totally agree with this statement, unfortunately I have the funny feeling you're actually referring to me as an "antipiracy" dude.

I'm not calling as a despective statement, everyone have their unquite morals and opinions, AFAIK "dude" isn't despective.

I got a few suggestions:
1. A toggleable function for fetching your own titlekey.bin off your system. (You may already have this)

2. Ability to download and store cia where it can be decrypted for romfs and exported to pc instead of simply installing it. (This is for romhacking)

3. Ability to do the same for patches and dlc. Especially dlc that normally can only be purchased in game. (This is also for romhacking)

Seeing how everyone has taken it out of context I feel I should make it clear, I'm actually a supporter of piracy in my personal life.
It appears most (perhaps defensively, though for good reason) have taken my intentions as hostile when I was just trying to express my thoughts on the grey area of the concept of tickets, especially after seeing how thinly veiled this author made his project.

I would have appreciated if you guys were more receptive to entertaining a discussion, but I realize I may have brought a heavier discussion into the incorrect topic and in the end that just ends up derailing it.
I guess it's to be expected that this topic would not meet such ideas with open ears and instead respond aggressively.

Perhaps my thoughts would be better saved for the Site Discussion & Suggestion subforum, my apologies.

The author stated in his OP that he doesnt support piracy.
Right, but following that statement with a rofl (laughing so hard he's crying) emote seems to send a mixed message.
That and the name freeshop comes with certain connotations. Access to the eshop was free before, so what exactly are you getting free with this homebrew?

That said, I really like your 3 suggestions for the project as that would add much more legitimate versatility to the project.

Big question: this would work good on a japanese New 3ds changed region to USA console on A9LH? It would be very nice!

Thanks.
