I love that. Time to search the CDs that came with all these gameing magazins. ^_^

Has it Runtime Package support?

Another update for the test build (redownload from OP):

- Removed the debug strings appearing on the left side of the screen (for who is interested in what that was, it was the actual volume value of the BGM audio port :P)
- Added support for RTP (ux0:/data/easyrpg-player/rtp/2000 and ux0:/data/easyrpg-player/rtp/2003)
- Improved a bit sounds managing (now spamming sounds should produce less stuttering)
- Enabled 444 MHZ mode (yes, before the player was running at 333 MHZ :) )
- Added analogs support (left analog = player movement, right analog = extra buttons for games like Yume Nikki)

Does this, or will it ever have the maker portion of RPG Maker? I'd really like to be able to make some games too.

Also are there any Pokemon games for 2000/2003? I saw some for ace.

There are a link for 2000 or 2003 games?

The best place I've found for a listing of most relevant 2k/2k3 games is rpgmaker.net. You can sort the games list depending on the RPG Maker engine you need. You can also just look at the compatibility list in the OP for a list of what games are most likely going to work and then search for them in the game browser.

Also http://rpgmaker.wikia.com/wiki/Charon for Visual Novels

And VGPerson for games translated from Japanese to Englisch: http://vgperson.com/games/ (not all for RPG2k/2k3)

Popular games on that VGPerson side are: Wadanohara, Grey Garden, Ib (obviously), Touhou Mother (with Earthbound-like battle system)

More games: http://queenscourt.org/othergames.php

Or for crazy stuff ask the Asians: http://viprpgsum15.webcrow.jp/sakuhin.html?71 ;) (VIP RPG is a contest with tons of Japanese games)
Or tetris: http://www.freem.ne.jp/win/game/3631

Web demo: https://easy-rpg.org/play/?game=smashbros and https://easy-rpg.org/play/?game=tetris

Other languages:
German:
http://rpg2000.4players.de/index.php?inhalt=spiele2 and
http://www.multimediaxis.de/threads/125604-RPG-Maker-Spiele-DOWNLOAD-Neu-Dropbox-Datenbank-im-Aufbau

French:
http://www.rpg-maker.fr/jeux-type-rm2000.html and

Spanisch: http://www.hellsoft.net/H5/ and
http://netherwareentertainment.es/noticias and
http://www.mundo-maker.com/

Polish: http://www.rpgmaker.pl/

There are also tons of japanese game pages but I assume nobody of you could understand this.

There are thousands of games, enjoy ;)

You can make the games using RPG Maker 2k or 2k3 on PC and then your game will be playable on any device EasyRPG is currently ported (Android, iOS, 3DS, PSVITA, Windows, Mac, Linux, Wii and many others).

So you can't transfer files with japanese names to the vita? So how am I supposed to play japanese RPG maker games that rely on the japanese RTP and japanese file names?

If VitaShell dosn't supports unpack of archive files (zip, rar, ...) with the interface (beside VPK which are zip files) I don't think you can.
Elsewhere I would try to pack the game in a zip with english name and unzip on the Vita.
There are no programs specially for unpacker yet.
VitaShell 0.7 should be your best hope atm.

Edit: Proabably you could archive something with doing them in a VPK.

Seems like the Vita doesn't like Japanese characters.
