Go figure, the day I want to use CIAngel to check out new stuff, the domain expires. :(

Any way to update wings.json otherwise?
The only site I know of with the full list is that one with the expired domain, so until the dev renews the domain, not really.

Thanks for the PSA. Good thing I still have plenty in my backlog to get to. What's the policy on hosting a "current latest version" of the wings.json file? Does that count as warez?
Yes, it does. As I said, there are no known mirrors of the titlekey database, there is too much legal trouble with hosting that site, nobody is really willing to risk taking that on.

There is one way. If you can find the ip address then you can add it to your hosts file on your computer and download the json that way. Something like this, though you will need to replace both the ip address and the domain name with the correct ones. Doing a google search for the domain in question as well as "ip address" ("ip address" should be in quotes) should do it.

Code:
123.456.789.1 something.thattitlekeysite.com

And then go to the site as normal?

Open /etc/hosts in the text editor and add this line, but replace both the ip address and the domain name with the correct ones.

Code:
123.456.789.1 something.titlekeysite.com
And then go to the site as normal?

Yes. For the json you just go to https://[redacted].com/json, save it, and then rename it to wings.json. Note that some browsers may mangle the file so you might need to use wget or another download manager (or possibly another browser).

@cearp and @Drakia

The key site is back with the same name but at .gq instead of .com. I tried editing the code.bin to point to https://[redacted].gq/json_enc and then rebuilding the cia but it didn't work.

Would it be possible to support overriding the normal wings.json download location? For example, if there is a json.txt in the ciangel folder then it will use the URL in that file instead of the built in one?

Update: Turns out the new site does not support https yet. Changing https://[redacted].com/json_enc to http://[redacted].gq/json_enc worked just fine.

Did you try editing source/utils.h line 23 with the new url and compiling?

No, I did a binary edit of the code.bin in a hex editor (using HackingToolkit3DS and a hex editor is faster than setting up the build environment) but that wasn't the problem. Turns out the new site doesn't support https at the moment. As you can see from my update, using http://[redacted].gq/json_enc made it work.

Do NOT post that link on the forums, it is against the rules

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

As for why the JSON file isn't updating,t he domain that hosts the keys expires today, which means it's slowly leaving DNS caches. Hopefully the guy who runs it renews the domain soon and gets things back up and running. This is beyond our control.

If we already have the keys r we good?
