For me it's the same on the psp street/e1004 (TA-096)
Cannot launch infinity from ARK release (shutting down)
Old Infinity 2.03 runs, but doesnt really work

Hey, I've found a known problem with Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX USA ULUS10062
The game won't recognize memory stick that are more than 2gb apparently preventing the game to autoload or autosave (displaying a message "no memory stick found"). (Manual loading and saving seems to work). This is somehow working in Adrenaline but not ChovySign or ARK4. I guess it's both on PSP and Vita.

There's probably a cwcheat code to fix this. Many older games have this issue and most have a fix in the form of cheats for cwcheat.
I'll check it out and let you know if I find any.

you'd probably have to replace the hex string. I think cheats use a thing called search and replace where they find the string they're supposed to modify, then replace it in memory. not sure if this would work or not.

yes, I don't really have a game that's this way. I'm minimalist though, so I don't have that many games on any system other than my legit ones, which I guess is ironic.

i see no valid option in cheat menu but i found this quote regarding street fighter alpha max:

"This game was made before there was any Memory Sticks with more than 1 gb. For the auto load to work correctly, simply have less than 1 gb free space in your Memory Stick."

I tried it, but didn't like it. In fact, the bubbles UI just isn't very appealing to me so much so I wish there was a way to replace it completely with XMB or PS4-like menu.

Instead, my Vita now boots up to a 360-like dashboard for the Vita games.

Interesting, maybe there's a way to patch it on the CFW to make it think there's less than 2GB available on those games.

Kao Challengers (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It) (v2.01) (ULES-00146) have the same problem i believe there might be more games with this issue.

i wonder if its possible to somehow spoof fake size of sd card while ingame (not in vsh, pops or homebrew). this would probably solve the problem with all of them.

What's the difference between running games from the Custom Launcher and from the XMB in the PSP? If I run them from the XMB I won't be able to use ARK-4's Recovery Menu's and generic settings? I don't get why is there a Custom Launcher in the first place.

I think it's personal preference mostly.

No. Custom launcher settings are just for itself. You can enable it to boot up by default iirc. Recovery Menu is for the xmb version.
