OP
I have recently ordered a Bronze-colored Nintendo DSi XL for a very attractive price.
The console itself is in very good condition, except for the glossy top-half of the console, which has a few very noticeable scratches.
I found a few decent-looking replacement-cases for the console on AliExpress, but in the end i decided to go with a product called "Displex" by Hama.
It is advertised as a polishing-solution for shiny/glossy plastic and you also get a soft wool/cotton piece of cloth with it.
I tried it and i am satisfied with it.
It took a lot of polishing, but the DSi XL looks great again.
Sadly, without noticing it to much during the polishing, even the slightest movement of the cloth between my fingers managed to sand away a layer of skin, which is kinda painful by now.
Gloves would propably be a good idea.

tl;dr: Hama Displex works great for polishing out scratches in shiny/glossy plastic.
