Hi,
Recently my dad is looking for more puzzle related pc games. He wants to download them so that he can put it in his laptop. He as a collection of such games for his domestic flights. Don't ask me "why laptop?"... I would rather use an I pad instead. He got his current PC Game downloads here. He is looking for more of such sites. Any helpful recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Alvin

It's really hard, but here's a nice laser puzzle game. https://silverspaceship.com/chromatron/
A quick google also found this page, which has a lot of free puzzle games, but a lot of them are mahjong and slide puzzle clones. There's even DROD on there. You might want to download stuff yourself if your old man is prone to accepting "related offers" in installer though. https://www.freewarefiles.com/category_1_30.html

Edit: If you want something a bit more curated, try taking a look here: https://jayisgames.com/tag/puzzle+free+download
It's probably also worth checking out the "pointandclick" and "hiddenobject" tags on that website.

My first thought is Simon Tatham's puzzle collection. A whole bunch of (procedural generated) puzzles. Some are classics, like loopy, tents or sudoku, but there are some very decent gems among them. In any case: freeware, elegant, and (probably also on windows) just download, install & play without any add-nonsense. :)
(I just played some this morning on the train...and I've played it from time to time for over five years now).

Some non-free recommendations:
* Opus Magnum from Zachtronics
* contraption maker (from the makers of The incredible machine)
* Portal & portal 2 (really requires no introduction)
* the Talos principle
* Braid
* The witness
* Myst & sequels (yeah...classics :P)
* Sokobond, A good snowman is hard to build & Cosmic express by Draknek (he has a lot of free games as well, but I can't say I've played those)
* morphblade (though it might be more tactical warfare than puzzle)

EDIT: should really put my favorite puzzle game ever in this: antichamber (seriously: if you're even REMOTELY interested in Escher's work, this is a must buy!)

There's a deal on Fanatical or something with some anime puzzle games with nude anime girls.
It's indie gala, my bad https://freebies.indiegala.com/ and they are free.
Go be son of the year for your papa.
That could either lead to some great father-son moments, or lead to some awkward silence. :P
