can anyone develop the R4Toolz suite that i made for the CMD Shell on the Nintendo DS as a homebrew, like a PPSEDS editor? view the code here. R4Toolz Suite - NDS

It is closed source (the BAT only), so could anyone post on that thread for help please

It was originally open source. What gives you the right to close source it?

Its not closed source. The guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. It isn't possible to make a "closed source BAT". BAT's are, unavoidably, a plain text file which can be opened and edited with any text editor at will. There is no way around that. And I was looking at the source earlier. BTW, he is talking about his BAT, so he has the "right" to close source it in a way (although I believe a lot of code was adapted from another BAT, which would negate this right), but it is not possible to do so to my knowledge.

to OP: I am not trying to insult you with these comments, merely pointing out that you cannot close source a BAT. Also, I highly doubt anyone is going to do what you ask, as that would mean porting r4crypt to the DS, and writing a load of wrapper code as well. There is no problem for most users doing it on a computer. It would be impractical IMO to have the tool running on the DS.

SifJar: I also noticed that but if it was in C, for example, He has no right to release other people's open source projects as closed source.

He's not.

He's trying to say that the .BAT file (which is plain text) is closed source. And while you are correct that he has no right to take someone elses work and release it as closed source, the fact remains that it's impossible to have a closed source .BAT file.

Sometimes, i wonder if he knows what he's doing. He doesn't even know the difference between Closed Source and Open Source.

How about i say Linux is Open Source. Windows is Closed Source. Can some link me to the Windows source code because it's closed source?

If you don't get me than you are awarded with the idiot of the month trophy.
