Hacking r4i ultra help please?

Ok. So this was my first attempt at using an r4i card and all that for my ndsi v1.3. I did what the r4ultra site said to do. I downloaded the kernel/firmware/software files. Copied them into the micro sd card. Added the games and when i turned my dsi on, everything showed up correctly but couldn't load the games and it kept showing up "not supported adapter".

So I tried it over again like 5 times. Same thing kept happening. But when I clicked on "ultrai_update.nds" which was what the guide told me to do, my dsi screen went blank. And this system error came on.

"An error occurred. Press and hold POWER to turn system off, then follow instructions in the system manual."

NOW, when I insert the r4i card...it won't even show up. Blank screen pops up with error message.

What the heck happened? And how do I fix this? Help a girl out please? ^^

Unfortunately, it sounds like the cart died. Maybe someone else knows more. Best to get a real cart anyways though. Acekard, supercard, etc

I'm not 100%, but it sounds to me like you need to run the DSL 1.4 fix on yur R4i for it to work.
To do this you will need to know someone who can start to run the update file on their "i" cart in their DSL/Phat and it gives you the option to remove their cart and replace it with yours before starting the update (DO NOT turn it off during this process). Hopefully this helps.

all u need to do is put your cartridge with the small chip in it into a ds lite and it will update the software and then put the r4i back into the dsi and it will work perfect!!!
