Hacking R4i-SDHC Will pass dsi v1.4 on Friday!

Yeah but you didn't say it was a DSTTi clone. Just saying "clone" implies it's an R4 clone. So my statement about how the company saying another card is selling fakes is like the pot calling the kettle black still stands. The R4i SDHC red box edition is a fake, plain and simple. The statement would be more valid if DSTT posted a note on their site saying "Don't buy the R4i SDHC red box as it's a clone of our card and a fake R4".

So rather than recommending people to buy this fake shouldn't people be suggesting to buy the original DSTTi? After all, if the DSTTi disappears then so does all support for this card.

They support the card by including the fixes that the hackers have been releasing and are available as unofficial firmwares/fixes. They're not supporting it themselves, they're just cashing in on someone elses work in the same way they're cashing in on someone elses hardware.

who's work did they take credit for? I think the R4i has updated more often the past few months than the card it's a clone of

no problem, I, for one, haven't seen any 'unofficial' updates for the R4i-sdhc that I have, that was why I questioned that

The unofficial updates are for the DSTT not the R4i SDHC.

They're based in Hong Kong, so I really doubt it. It's possible they meant next Friday, which was the initial impression I got from the broken english in the emails posted here, but nobody seemed to agree with me.

it should be next friday then, also nice that they didn't put a date in all the e-mails they sended us. I've emailed them last night (EU-time) and still haven't got anything back. They should be able to get the update really fast, because the DSTTi had got the update, and it's a clone so...

EDIT: got an e-mail back ,the're saying they are going to release it next friday

it doesn't make any sense, they should just change the DSTTi updater and make it work on the R4i-sdhc. I hope it's going to be within 2 weeks, otherwise i'll just buy a AK2i, i'm bored with waiting

i just did the new ver. 1.10 on the r4i-sdhc card sept.16/09 it did not work for me why? you think thats bad.i just got 3 cards 3.5 weeks ago. for my 3 new dsi's that sucks big time.

The new update didn't work for you because the new update still isn't on the site. You downloaded something meant to be used on another card; odds are you just went to the "fake" R4i-SDHC's website.

The "official" site http://www.r4i-sdhc.com has changed the pictures with the box logos which now show yellow stars with the word V1.4.
That's something the "fake" site had updated already a week earlier

and no any bootloader update for old R4i-SDHC.
