Hacking R4I-SDHC (1.4) -upgradeable to 1.4.4 ?

Hi guys,

I bought a dsi for my daughter, and it came with a r4i-SDHC (1.4). Stupidly, I updated the dsi to 1.4.4. I've been reading around in the forum, but am slightly confused. I know I need to borrow a ds for the flashing process.
-can the 1.4 cart be updated to 1.4.4?
-if so, where can I find the firmware file? I can't find it at r4i-SDHC.com, only the kernel files.
-if not, which cart should I buy as a replacement, preferably here in the UK and be delivered before Christmas.

If i'm correct I believe that you can do this if your DS has wi-fi connections on it.

If it does when you turn your DS on and press the r4 icon you press the box to the right and then something along the lengths of updates and let it download the update to 1.4.4 and flash it onto your r4 for you.

1 - If so, the update will be on the site printed on the cart. If it's not, then there is none.

2 - Make sure it's the exact site printed on the cart (there's lots of copies with similar names), you may need to browse the download page a lot to find the right updates. Sometimes the kernel and firmware are packaged as one, and the "update" option in the newest Kernel is somewhere on the startup screen of the cart. This means you will need to start up the cart on another DS, as you read, since you need to start it up in order to update it.

Thanks for speedy replies. I guess I'll wait till I get my hands on a ds to see if I can upgrade the card.
