Why spend lots of time on something if you can just copy it.
Welcome to planet Earth.
I don't know why are you even asking me.

It's a rhetorical question.I don't know why are you even asking me.

The funny thing is, the test passes the GW card. I guess the r4Gold team has no hard feelings for GW.Gateway VS 3DS link (R4i)

Doubt they really think about it.Their main advantage is price. They do fast updates for their non-3ds updates, which is nice tho.Uh... because by the time the copy comes out, the next firmware is out, and it won't work as intended?

funny, 9 out of 10 times i see you responding you are talking about gateway fanboy's. But when somebody says something about r4 you are the first one who is responding and pointing fingers to gatewayDat morning smell of a fanboy butthurt... Beautiful
Sue them hahaha
I remember someone said GW delaying to make fw hard to copy, add encryption lol
Calm down fanboy. But glad you counting this.funny, 9 out of 10 times i see you responding you are talking about gateway fanboy's. But when somebody says something about r4 you are the first one who is responding and pointing fingers to gateway

w.e?I agree with him. Pretty quick to throw the word fanboy out there but remember it takes one to know one.
Wait. What?I wonder if the r4i is also updateable like the gateway.
If the gateway team updates their ASIC as they said before, (to support fat32 microsd/multirom)
the r4i team will have a lot of work to do. They can't copy that 1:1
The gateway team said that their code running on the FPGA is updateable for future features like multirom.Wait. What?
What you mean by updateable like gateway? R4i have newer ASIC chip (which sorta doesn't do anything good now) than gateway. Updating ASIC chip means you need buy new flashcart (80$ for GW?).

Until now, they only updated the launcher.dat.
We do not know when our software for firmware 5.x and 6.x will be ready, but we
are working on it and will be released as soon as fully tested.
It requires some work that can't be counted in hours of engineering, because
programming is not like that. It can by anywhere from 1 week to 3 months.
Meanwhile, we repeat it again and again: do NOT update your firmware.
