I think that's part of the operating system for the R4. You'd have to be able to reprogram the kernal software and I doubt that is open source.

You can't, you can make your background black and it would hide it.

Here's a skin I just made for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie that comes out in April, with a theme.ini for kernel 1.07.



By the way, whoever runs mavisxp.com, your R4 skin uploader completely fails to work in Firefox - it always says "WARNING NOT A ZIP FILE".

If you mean 'why do they all have light backgrounds', it's because before the new firmware (1.07) was released, the text in the game menu was all black or brown.

Now that you can customize the text color I'm looking forward to dark skins with white text.

That's a really nice one, M2. I love the way they portrayed Carl in this poster, and the Mooninites for the icons is a nice touch (the Passme feature is actually THE Moon, heh). I think I'm going to have to try this one out.

Here's my first venture in R4 skinning. 100% done in Paint.NET.

I haven't gotten my R4 yet, so pardon me if there's any imperfections

very cool! if i may, i'd like to make this into a moonshell skin as well - make it all tie together nicely!

edit: i get banding when i load it up on the lighter sections - any suggestions on how to fix that?
