heres my rip off of two themes i found (i think) on here. full credit to them, and if they object, i'll remove it asap.

bottoms orange is slightly diff as my screen is yellowy so i thought id try and balance it - didnt work!

changed a few of the colours round, and added a few bits here and there - i love orange so thats why its so orangey!

This one is basically a bunch of screenshots of Pokémon Emerald put together and made into a skin. I personally don't like it because it's unimaginative and the artwork is unoriginal, but I put it together neatly, and people who like Pokémon Emerald may find this worthwhile.Emerald

Sam & Max ftw. I haven't tested it, but just looking at it right now, I can tell you that the "sam" and "max" icons you have for the light adjustment and soft-reset will be covered by the sun and "R" icon that they use respectively. Assuming you used my template (which is what it looks like

), I put them there so people would at least know that each of those areas will be taken up by said icons ;o Great skin though. I know someone was asking for a bunch of LucasArts skins earlier in thread. I'm sure they'll be happy with this ;p

Here's my 24 skin... looks so sweet on the R4!

Save the images into a folder and then just transfer them to your _system_ folder (however they do need renaming)

Actually, I've spent several hours reworking my level adjustment overlays, and I ended up settling on 10 colors (including two brand new ones, RUST and SLUDGE) ... What do you guys think?

D'oh! You keep me motivated to improve my skins
Your skin is what I call "Usable", since it has the same theme of the Nintendo firmware and is very clean. The only thing which I don't like very much is how the R4 "icon blinking" effect deals with them. In the previous "DSLite" skins (I mean the oooold ones) the icons weren't centered in regards to the "blink" effect and I disliked it very much.
The icons in the last one you published (before the 10 colours pack) look centered but I'd try to make them as big as the blink area (at least I'd do it to the skin with the drop shadow, since it makes the "unbalance" worse).

Another thing I noticed in yours is that the blue you used (in the one I first quoted) was a bit different form R4's blue (when the game loads). I don't know if yours is exactly like the one from the Firmware and R4 guys used the wrong colour, but if you now adapted it to R4, then your blue skin is THE perfect "Usable" skin.

Now... if you could give me some feedback on how to improve my "Less Usable but Cool" and make them more "Usable"... here you can find a preview (click on each image to download the beta files) of my latest PW skins (Turnabout Samurai and Turnabout Sisters). I added a "darkened filesize" effect like the one I saw in your skin and merged the two boxes I used for last save date and filename into one (as you did) but somehow it doesn't seem too good yet.

The contrast on the list-image is just a bit too much, the background is too busy, that's all that needs a little changing. Oh and the icons the other guy mentioned. Please make Full Throttle theme!

Pretty nice skin. I like the logo screen more than the bottom, The buttons just aren't working for me. But nice skin none the less

Good, I hope having them in hand inspires you to make more skins! The two best skins I've seen so far are the ones you've made.

You did an excellent job of choosing good art and putting it to good use. I haven't seen any other skins that combine beauty and functionality quite so well.

Nice, though the GANT icons look a bit off. Also, you should add some spacing between top and bottom images, I believe 84 pixels works well. Could you hook me up on the original images you used? The SMW theme looks really nice and clean, I'd like to use it as a wallpaper.

Has someone got his hands on the official R4 DS logo with a proper size in a lossless format? All I have is this tiny smudged JPEG from the frontpage...
