Tim Russert always stood out being an honest, intelligent, genuinely likable guy among the rest of the media. It's men like him that should be "the face" of America to the rest of the world not Bush. He will be missed.

He definitely was the most tenacious interviewer of our time. No matter what the topic, he'd never let a politician off the hook without a proper answer to the question. I once saw him ask the same question to Newt Gingrich 9 TIMES IN A ROW until he finally gave a straight answer. We need more like him. He'll be missed.

Yeah, R.I.P.

Who could possibly replace him on "meet the press"?

You might be thinking of Bill O'Riley on FOX News Channel, gizmo.

Tim Russert worked for NBC, did the Meet the Press show that aired Sunday mornings I believe. Apparently MtP was one of the longest running shows of its kind. It's really bad how he went. Heartattack at work? Geez...He wasn't even that old to be honest, compared to CBS' Bob Schieffer.

...I love how I'm totally butchering surnames here, sorry.

Yes Meet the Press is the longest running tv segment show on the air today and has had many hosts but he was the best of him. I'm very not into NBC or really just 'over the air' news bits at all but I've caught him on other venues including presidential debates and the guy had class and stuck to things.

And yes if you're thinking fox you're getting confused because the two big names in news there in the same age bracket are Bill O'Reilly who does a news/opinion based fairly neutral show, and then you got their semi-same tier interviewer/news guy who is following in daddy's footsteps Chris Wallace (Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes is daddy.)

What a crap way to go at 58 as he was in his prime far as TV goes.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
