OK so I'm gonna import a Japanese N3DS cos the US isn't getting the regular sized one

I have an original 3DS XL right now and I was wondering:

  • Does system transfer work cross-region?
  • If yes, what happens to all eshop purchases with my NNID?
  • if not, what do you reckon I should do? Have a different account on each 3DS (yuck), or copy my 3DS XL's emunand to my Jap N3DS? I'm not even sure if that'd work since 2 systems would then be bound to the same NNID. Or maybe emunand is region-locked? Idk
  • Forgot to mention but you've probably figured I'm equipped with a Gateway 3DS
So yeah what do you think is the best course of action?

no, system transfer is region locked :)
you can't use a nand dump from a 3ds on a different 3ds (at least yet)

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

  • NinStar @ NinStar:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
