Just wondering, in the YSMenu download there is a file called "akextract".

    What exactly does this do?

Could an updated version of this "akextract" app turn AKAIO into a replacement firmware, just like DSTT and "ttextract" except using AKAIO instead?

Sorry for this "noob" question, if it is one, but I am very interested.

It lets you use YSMenu on AceKard2. Doesn't let you run Akaio on DSTT if thats what you were wondering.

    Damn.

Wish that was possible, to run AKAIO on a DSTT, imagine the possibilities if it was.

Hell, then there would be no Acekards anymore and the AKAIO team will stop making updates

    mhm true.

A group should make a universal firmware that works on all carts. That way everyone waits for the one update instead of R4/DSTT users waiting for extinfo updates which may never come to work for the games which we want to play.

probably will never happen though, but you can only hope hey?

Or R4/DSTT users should spend more than $5 on a cart if they're gonna actually expect it to continue to work.
