    Hi All,

I have been using vernbatim dvd-r for a long time in my wii with no issues.
I know there are also +r will they also work fine in the wii?
Just want to be 100% sure before i buy.

    Cheers

DVD-R is preferred, DVD+R can be used but you need other steps which you might forget when burning a .iso

From what I've heard is that using DVD+R can burn up your laser faster.

Stick with the -r. While you can change the book type with img burn , I have never been able to get my wil to read a +r disk that had the book type changed to -r.

@[member='Deadly Ed'], I have had a problem like that . Where my burner would no longer burn to +r disks , but then again it was a cheap burner and it craped out after about 300 disks . My lg external burner has been going strong though even though I hardly use it now.

But why would you burn DVD's with backups if we have usb loaders everywhere?!

I meant the laser on the wii, not your dvd burner. And you got my name wrong :P
