Hello, I have searched these topics and there were many posts regarding blocking future updates, but many of them also apparently stopped working. I'm asking - what is a firmware blocking method that still works so I may remain on 3.0? For my Wii U I just blocked a list of URLs within my Router to prevent auto-updates, anything similar to that?

If you want to use your router you can block these to prevent updates:

http://beach.hac.lp1.eshop.nintendo.net:443

I would also block these as they seem to be some sort of telemetry:
