Hacking Question about classic mode, online, Pokemon X and DS games

Hi everyone
I have a 3ds Gateway, works fine but i have some questions.

1°) Whenever i play a DS game on my Blue card, i must reinstall the Gateway to boot the Gateway loader with Nintendo profile etc... Is it normal?

2°) I plan on buying pokemon X to be able to play online, but i'm not sure if it is possible.
My sys nand is 4.4, emunand for Gateway mode 7.1.
I should buy the game, boot on classic mode, do the eshop update, and play the game, without installing any new update?

1) yeah thats just how it works

So there is no update to do on classic mode?
I update on GW mode but not on classic mode, and the first time ( i reinstall after because it did not work), i install an update on the classic mode, it did no workd after.

1. Yes.

2. Everything works. Do note that the savegame will be locked to Emunand, you can't use it on any other non-Gateway consoles. Powersaves will not work on it too.

Ok so no risk of losing my save if i upload my emunand for example?

But no means to do a backup of that save from time to time?

you can use the cart/save on any other system using emunand. but the save will not be compatible with a normal 3ds that has been updated

this applies to most games except really old games that already worked on 4.x

I have a question related to this. If you play retail Pokemon on classic mode, can you download Pokebank and use Poketransporter on this 3ds running on gateway?

pokebank doesn't work on emunand....not sure about poketransporter

Doesn't Poketransporter need Pokebank to work? If Bank doesn't work, I suppose Transporter won't either.
