Hi,

I know there is a custom firmware called AKAIO with better ROM compatibility.

I plan to use my Acekard 2i with AKAIO, and I was wondring where I could get the updates when there are some compatibility issues with certain ROMs.
I went to AKAIO official forum, and they only seem to have one up to December.

...No, and to be safe and massage Normatt's shoulders we should not really nag about it. Nothing's more annoying than million forum lambs crying over same thing.

It (maybe) is coming, so let's be patient...

Some1 had posted recently 'it'll be another couple of weeks' - but since the person who posted it isn't one of the developers - I just can't fathom where he got his info from

I'll just say - 'It'll be here when it arrives'

Well, I'm willing to wait for the firmware. But it's the loaders that bug me.
I mean, I can put up with a bit of inconvenience and go without whatever new features are added for a while, but not being able to play new games kinda sucks.

I wish that the AKAIO team would just let the community work on the loaders, even if it meant that they had to severely encrypt them.

If they were encrypted the community couldn't work on them.

Working on them involves access to the source.

Access to the source means any clone maker can just go and steal the hard work of the AKAIO team for the own cart.

That means more clone/shit carts that don't get their own support.
