No, and I haven't had any bricks myself. In fact, we do not have any reputable members who have had a brick either.

I completely understand that, I just don't want them to "protect their profits" with a firing squad. Protecting your software - fine. Protecting your software with ticking bomb code - wrong. That's all I'm saying.Gateway wants to protect their profits. Big difference
yeah i appreciate that , and in a perfect world with fluffy white flowers and end users that dont run around saying "HAHAHAH CLONES 4 LIFE DONT BUY GW BY R4GD AND SAVE YOURSELF A WHOLE $5 WOWOWO!!!" maybe it wouldnt have been too bad if gateway really could just disrupt and clone buyers would see the error of their ways and go legit (....yeah right seeing as 99% of flashcard users own them for piracy i doubt even 1 person thought ...."what im using a clone, how disgusting i should support the original developrs, i will just return this clone or pop i in the nearest bin")....nope 99.9% of clone users would prefer to just keep their clone and beg the clone team for "bug fixes" whenever gateway implemented any lesser anti-clone codeYou're right - I guess we'll never know unless we see the source code. Either way, I disagree with this kind of implementation, it's highly aggressive DRM and if Gateway wants to protect their code, they should use methods that do not harm end-users - that's all I'm saying.![]()

Don't brick, freeze. That' all I'm sayin' man. It's not an unreasonable request. There's a reason why cars have immobilizers, not nuclear warheads in them in case of theft - immobilize the thief, don't blow him the f*ck up.yeah i appreciate that , and in a perfect world with fluffy white flowers and end users that dont run around saying "HAHAHAH CLONES 4 LIFE DONT BUY GW BY R4GD AND SAVE YOURSELF A WHOLE $5 WOWOWO!!!" maybe it wouldnt have been too bad if gateway really could just disrupt and clone buyers would see the error of their ways and go legit (....yeah right seeing as 99% of flashcard users own them for piracy i doubt even 1 person thought ...."what im using a clone, how disgusting i should support the original developrs, i will just return this clone or pop i in the nearest bin")....nope 99.9% of clone users would prefer to just keep their clone and beg the clone team for "bug fixes" whenever gateway implemented any lesser anti-clone code
...and that's not due to a lack of effort. I have been actively trying to brick my 3DS.No, and I haven't had any bricks myself. In fact, we do not have any reputable members who have had a brick either.
I have booted around 20-30 times between both the N3DS and O3DS. I have had a few random freezes, and one I can replicate. Still no BSOD. I have tried everything but dump save, and rom. I have tried different entry points as well.If it really is russian roulette, then if you try enough times it should brick.
So, how many times did everyone boot with Gateway plugin v1.04 or higher with GW 3.5.1?
@gamesquest1 how much do you charge for hard mod on old 3ds I'll send you my dstwo+ as well to play around with.who ya gonna call.....GBATEMP BRICKSQUAD!
Do not justified gatecrap's action. Consumer shouldn't be fucked. If it really is russian roulette, then if you try enough times it should brick.

@hundshamer How many times did you boot like that?

nobody is "freaking out" people are saying if you steal stuff from a team with already low moral standards what the hell do you expect to happen? No, they didn't. Gateway posting something on their website is not proper warning to all of the people that bought the DSTwo+. If they had a warning in their software that displaued when used on a DSTwo+ that would let people know that they run the risk of bricking their 3DS, that would be a proper warning.
Gateway chose a terrible way of dealing with an issue, and should not be defended for it. People steal. It's a thing. 90% of the people here steal on a daily basis. Gateway's device enables you to steal things. Kind of screwed up that people who are fine with piracy freak out at the idea of one company using another companies piracy software...

its like flicking the ear of a homicidal maniac who is known to kill people who flick his ear, you would have to be a f**king idiot to go do it, never mind trying to act surprised when he tries to kill you....yes killing someone for flicking your ear is bad, but on the other hand, you shouldn't be flicking ears its just rude

flashcard companies.....bad guys, who knew......also, pirates.....good guys.......
everyone in the situation is not exactly a good guy, everyone is bad, peope guying flashcards, people making them, people selling them, nobody is innocent
for a awful company a lot of people sure want to be them XD.......i mean even the "great" supercard practically admitted they couldn't do it as well as gateway by attempting to clone them....its like MS, everyone "hates" them, but they are still there, people using windows and xbox , people saying how much they hate windows coz MS is evil, oh and google "ahhh google are spying on us all, just go google "are google spying on us all"", people will always hate market leaders and want to back the small time groups.....untill the small time makes it big and they are suddenly selloutsWell, we had what seemed like hundreds of clones back in the DS days, and I don't remember any company trying to deal with it in this stupid, Gateway-exclusive kid of way. No one is good here, but Gateway is just an awful company.
