It seems to be power related at the ssd circuit. I would check if fuse F7001 is good and check if right from the ssd pmic at the little ic 5V (red) and 2V (blue) are present in standby. If you power on the PS5 at the ssd pmic the four voltages should appear.

all standby voltages are present, when turning on the 0.8 e 1.2 are missing. The 1.2 v test point in shorted. I removed the dialog but the short remains

If the 1.2V direction ssd are missing it would be the supply power for the single ssd DDR4 RAM.

The skhynix was shorted, replaced it, but the 1,2v are still missing but not shirted anymore. In diode mode i have 0.230 ohm at the dialog ic.
0.8v is now present.
The error log now gives the error 80871001 DDR4 error (power failure/short circuit)

I got this error when running wee_tool on my CH341A programmer, any idea to fix?

Seems to be the sFlash r/w SPIway screen. If you restart wee tools in the main menu the option 2 'Terminal (UART)' leads to the UART screen. ;)

Hi friend,
I have a problem that drives me crazy. It's been a whole week.

80810001: General Power Failure (Periphery, GDDR6, APU, Data Line Short)
C0010303: Known Unknown 525 (APU) - Report Findings

There are no short circuits by capacitors (((
Replaced, Southbridge, HDMI IC MN864739
All memory GDDR6 сhip
Everything without a result error remains....

Maybe you have ideas?

BwE found a way to access the errorlogs via UART and serial adapter.
I tried it myself without BwEs 100 Dollar program and soldered wires to TX, RX, GND and connected them to my ttl adapter.

I see the output:

OK 00000000:3A
$$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36

most inputs are echo'ing the input and giving this output:

errlog <-input
errlog <-echo
NG 00000000:4E <-output

some inputs are echo'ing the input and giving this output:

ß
ß
NG 00000000:4D

Any ideas what is necessary to bring the sb to accept commands?
What software do you use for decoding the ps5 codes for your uart.

I have no experience with failed VRM at the PS5, but I would check the both top mosfets on the backside of the both bigger inductors on the side of the APU. Maybe one or both are not funcional anymore.

Beside the correct points shown below, the voltage at the programmer has to be 3.3V on TX and RX. Otherwise the southbridge will stop the communication.

Thank you for the info and the images i've re done the points as directed and i've voltage modded a CH341 to 3.3v but its still not communicating dont know where im going wrong oddly as after an attempt the PS5 will refuse to power up unless i power cycle it heres a few images of my points and the CH341.

The middle pin is TX(PS5) and should go to RX(CH341) and the Pin under it is RX(PS5) and should go to TX(CH341).
Please change at the PS5 the position of the orange and yellow wires.

Hi @stetofix , I told you about a problem on your YouTube channel, in uart it gives me the error
OK 00000000 80810001 FFFFFFFF FFFF0023 00000100 217F 0016 40A0 0000:96
I think it is apu. things that I did:
- It has all the voltages
-no metal liquid splits
- there are no shorts
-with a thermal camera all the ram modules heat up normally.
Something strange happens because there are times that it turns on with a continuous fixed blue light, and I see that the SSD memory does not heat up at all. After being hot and turning off due to overheating( 3 beeps) (with plate without retainer) it only gives a single blue light again.

I think it is an APU reballing problem, it will be my first PS5 reballing, I will comment when I do it.

After replacing the GDDR6 RAM ic No6, the PS5 doesn't turn on and gave no errors?

Thanks for your concerns and your support.

In the end there is a broken device giving an error code and I want to know what that means to isolate a problem and perhaps find a solution. For this purpose I collect information and share it with other people for free.

So far, the error codes that I have stumbled upon or that I have provoked myself are described quite accurately.
