Here a little image of my CH341A with a 3.3V mod for use with the TX/RX from southbride of the PS5.

This are the UART points on the board

There are different programs for communication:

PS5 wee tools: GitHub - andy-man/ps5-wee-tools: Tools for PS5 NOR manipulations
Here is a bit of manual typing commands necessary:

At main menu:
  • choose: (2: Terminal (UART))
  • choose correct COM Port with reader
  • press ‘CTRL+E’ to enter EMC cmd mode
  • type ‘errlog 0’
  • type ‘errlog 1’
  • … (there maybe more than one error)
  • answers looks like:
    errlog 0: OK 00000000 80810001 166A347C FFFF0042 00000000 217C 0004 FFFF FFFF:BA
The bold is the error number. You can check the error list for the meaning: PS5 UART commands | GBAtemp.net - The Independent Video Game Community
  • if the answer is FFFFFFFF you reached the end of the error logs
  • with ‘errlog clear’ you can reset all error logs

If you unplug the power cord to the PS5 and plug it back again,
does a message:

OK 00000000:3A
$$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36

apears on screen? (Can take up to 20 sec after replug the power cord)

If not, please check if TX and RX with disconnected wires to the programmer read 3.3V.

It doesn't matter where the 12V are generated. If the power source can provide aprox 320 mA it is ok.
The southbridge should start working as soon as the 12V are present and the tx and rx should show 3.3V

as i thought for the 12V . then must be southbridge
at first I thought it was communication with the computer with the uart but I am getting 3.3 volts on TX and RX
12V on caps 1.8 V 1.1V 2V 5V all good get blue beep 5 sec then power off

If you get a blue light and a beep the southbridge powers on. Check if the TX RX wires are correct on programmer and board and check if the programmer is in TTL mode

If you only switch the bench power supply on without turning the PS5 on, is the consumption ok?

That is while during the PS5 on it jumps to 1.27 amps, then falls to a 0.26 amps and then goes back to 0.005 amps
in a time laps of 3 secondes

For UART only 12V are necessary. No starting the PS5.
The southbridge will start as soon the 12V are reaching the board. Wait aprox 20 sec and

OK 00000000:3A
$$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36

should be on the terminal

sorry to bother put that has been done I have tried multiple alternatives. and checked pretty much all the voltages and fuses. and check the cable connections with the UART I'm not new to this so. start against the motherboard has some heavy issue

And do you get error codes?
No, but I did find a short on the caps close to the fuse. F7501 I'll inform you tomorrow when I find The short and solve it. It could be one of the problems.

Do you get 3.3V on the TX and RX on the PS5 mainboard if only a psu is connected?
Do you get 3.3V at the TX and RX pins at the programmer without the both wires connected to the PS5?

If connected:
Are the wires TX -> RX and RX -> TX connected?
Have both line still 3.3V while PS5 and programmer are connected?

a) Shout the psu off
b) Start PS5 wee tools -> Terminal -> [your device No]
c) Power on the psu
d) wait aprox 20 sec and the screen should show:

OK 00000000:3A
$$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36

e) press CTRL-E to enter EMC mode
f) type 'errlog 0' ... 'errlogx' till FFFFFFFF appears

hi iam back and ps5 wee tools not working tried on another mother board
At this point I’d just try using the actual PSU and not the one on your bench

If everything is wired as OP says it is, it sounds like you might be powering it wrong and from what you said it sounds like the only difference in setup the two of you have
