Hacking Problem with R4

Hi
So i`ve tried to revive a r4 that i have since 2014 or so, i formated it to fat32, downloaded and tried different kernels, but every time i put the r4 in my dsl, it shows an metroid prime hunters demo version preview icon (though i formated the microsd) and when i tap it there`s a message that a system file is missing
i just tried to play pokemon platinum help i`m stuck thx in advnce

Show the front and back of the cart.
i tried to install a 2013 kernel so now i get the same metriod preview icon, and then just a black screen

Never Mind.. u did already.. (Ya, best show a pic of the card, so that we can exact see wich kind of the R4 it is. There are different types with different firmwares around.)

thanks, should i format it again? and is there any special way to put to ROM on the flash, like downloading it to the root, or in a folder named rom|games whatever?

The games can be on the root of the SD or on a folder (for keeping things clean and tindy) as save games will be created on the same folder where the games are. If you put them on the root folder it will become messy at some point.

If you try any of the previously shared kernels post back if it did or dind't work and include any error message that pops out.

I tried the link @master801 gave me, it worked, however i played for 5 minutes till the game black screened
though I'm not sure what's the problem, it still works after all
