Mine's just a live wallpaper of the Millenium Falcon flying through an asteroid belt, with a Cloud Strife clock widget with Buster swords for clock hands

I keep most of my app icons in the app menu. Don't see the point in having them on the home screen. I can't imagine a situation where a few seconds more to load up an app is going to make any sort of difference.

This thing runs really slowly at the moment, but I can't install a custom ROM right now, since I don't have anywhere to back up my stuff to. At least it looks nice

Can someone like me (with an Xperia x10 mini pro) get a nice looking interface like you guys? I want something like the first posts one...

amazing!
Minimalistic text
beautiful widgets
ADWLauncher (with whatever theme he's using)

however, you won't be able to change the notification bar's looks unless you root your phone and install a theme

HTC Wildfire (Buzz) Running my own custom rom (used cyanogen 6.1.0 as a base), overclocked as standard, custom icons, using launcher pro.

And here my little add on if anyone tries to steal my phone check the bottom of the notification bar
snap20110626222625.png

Theres my alias at the bottom, muxed into the design, impossible to get rid of unless reflashed.

That is so clever!

I've been thinking about rooting, but I'm really scared of bricking it, especially when installin custom ROMs are highly recommended.
I've been to xda-devs and I can't really find a tutorial that I can trust, simply because some are outdated, don't explain enough, etc etc.
Can anyone here lead me to a good, trustable source to root my HTC Desire HD running 2.2?

Really easy to install a custom firmware, dont worry about bricking it, as long as you pay attention to the instructions you'll be fine.

Heres the link for cyanogenmod, the best custom firmware out there

Rooting Desire HD Link
Installing Custom Rom Link

You need to do both of those link, you obviously need to root the phone before you flash it with a custom firmware.

Good luck

Is it difficult to create such a slick screen? Is it free? Simply beautiful.
