Actually, it's:
1.5.x: Cupcake
1.6.x: Donut
2.0.x until 2.1.x: Eclair
2.2.x: Froyo
2.3.x: Gingerbread
3.0.x until 3.2.x: Honeycomb (Tablet-only btw)
4.0.x: Ice Cream Sandwich
4.1.x until 4.3.x: Jelly Bean
4.4.x: KitKat
5.0.x until 5.1.x: Lollipop
6.0.x: Marshmallow
6.1/7?: N (To be decided)

Anyway, I was stuck with a 2012 phone with no custom ROM and a bloated 4.1 ROM, it wasn't fun, I can't even imagine going back to such setup even for better sound lol.
My Moto X Play is 6.0.1 and this is amazing!

Don't count on me remembering all the version names :P
tbh I made a mistake on 3.x and had to check anything before 2.2 because I wasn't sure. So I don't blame you lol. Just remember the basic rule: "Any major version usually has a new letter and they follow the alphabet" :P

Got a Moto G (2015)/3rd gen with 6.0.0 and yeah, it is rock-solid, also love its waterproofing :toot:. Sadly a friend and I accidentally broke the SIM1 slot with a SIM adapter(not a big deal since I still have SIM2) and the screen cracked when it fell from my pocket while I sat on my bed... And I struggled so much to get a new phone. :gun:

I did use it last year actually. Mostly because its louder than my current phone (getting a new one this weekend)
You're one of the people keeping the ancient versions of Android alive on the version distribution chart. Granted you're using Gingerbread but Froyo (2.2) just refuses to die.

Meant that's neither but good to know lol
Neither waterproof nor fragile? You'll want one that is waterproof but not fragile.
