Android 2.3? Holy crap that's one old device... Well, built-in screenshotting was introduced into Android 4.0 or 4.1 IIRC. You'll need a screenshotting app from the Play Store, I think.

It's a GIF so you'll need an app to set it as your wallpaper, preferably this one as I have tested it.
Download the file from here and extract it. There's a bunch of others too.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to root your device in order to screenshot on Gingerbread.

Worst case scenario she might need to take a picture of her phone. Still, I think you can root without formatting on old phones, so it should be easy stuff.

Ah I'm just busting your chops. I actually do own a 2.3 android along with 2 kitkats (4.1.1 tablet and 4.4.2 phone)
