lol I'm guessing the thing that prevents the freeze is completely built into the firmware which means we cannot just add the file that contains this "patch" to some other firmware...
Please say we can do that... although you probably can't.
Does anyone know if all the flashcart companies are working on their firmware or waiting for a patch to be released because i doubt there will be a new firmware for the DSTT...

I think HG/SS is a wake up call to all us on the old R4's though, unless it's started back up it's best to move over to an Acekard it seems.

This thread is for fix on CycloDS firmware, if you have other cart, no point in posting here asking when will fix for your cart come along, or whining how you picked wrong cart or whining how you still can't play..

Why all? That would be a massive waste of money? Much more than actually buying the game, that's for sure. A CycloDS Evolution or an AceKard 2i by itself should suffice. Those two together at most.

Acekard still doesn't work fully if I recall, just extends the no. of events before crash.

CycloDS seems best right now, but I don't wanna shell out cash for another flashcard when I already bought one.

Mate..if i could i would've brought the game already, sometimes the wait between USA and europe is 2 weeks +
Anyway you can pick up a M3, CycloDS and Acecard for under 50 quid.

It is regarded as one of the better (and more expensive) flash carts. It has the best compatiblity and the CycloDS team puts out updates very frequently to maintain that compatibility.

Hmm, I'd really like to hear from Cyclo owners who've played past the third gym. I've heard reports of people playing for an hour or so before that point on the 1.58b1 firmware, despite there being a confirmed case of freezing. Going for long periods of play after the third gym would probably be a better indicator of the effectiveness of the patch.
