Because it's derogatory, and aimed at the person. A project can be AI-developed, but a vibe coder is a person whom the programming work (or lack thereof) can be attributed to. At least that's my thinking.

Being a "proper fucking dickhead" and "using x to cover up being a hateful shit" is exactly how I would describe ruining someone's career and social connections over something that doesn't concern them.

Politics and sentimentals do not belong in software development. If you care about the quality of your work, you value what team members bring to the project, and not what a Discord guild full of monoculture morons tell you you're supposed to care about. The only reason iisu is successful at all is because of Usagi's artistic contributions, which were the driving selling point. Everything they do going forward is related to him in some way, and were he to play a longer-term role the politics might have sabatogued everything. That is not the trademark of a team that wants and knows how to sustain a project, and in any professional setting, real contributors would want nothing to do with something so volatile.
