Just tried on Sword and it works fine... you have to hold R while throwing the Wishing thing into the den. And if you hold L the light disappears until you release the L button.

Here's saves for Pokemon Sword and Shield. The game, post-game, and Pokedex are complete. To install, extract the switch folder from the attached ZIP file below, then drag and drop it onto the SD Card. Finally, go into Checkpoint and restore the save that is named "GBATemp." I can't guarantee the Sword save works, as I don't have the game, so if needed, just extract the main and backup saves from the GBATemp folder in the Sword TitleID folder of Checkpoint. This is just my save file with some of the details changed so the save on my SysNAND doesn't look suspicious.

I can't install an .nsp version of the game file itself because it'll get me banned as soon as I go online.

But if I have a legit copy of the game (which I do), I can find an .nsp of the update and install it? And that won't get me banned?

No. You said you installed your game off of a cartridge. That implies that you're not running it off the cartridge every time, yes? you dumped it?

This is actually correct. The reason for this is games and DLC have "personalized" tickets which include Nintendo Account data and unique certificate data. Installing pirated versions strip this info out and these broken tickets are what can get you banned. But updates don't use personalized tickets, they use common tickets that are the same for everyone. There's no difference installing an update via NSP or downloading it from Nintendo.

Huh, interesting. The problem is, earlier in the thread (follow the reply chain) they allude to dumping the game off of their cartridge and installing it. That will get you banned.
