I don't know about twist mountain but the first gym is the most annoying battle I've ever seen in any game.

Try beating a charmeleon(and others) with tackle and sand attack as the only available moves. Yeah that's luck, not skill. All there is to do is hope he misses. I beat him but I was lucky.

Actually, I like the difficulty of this game.

The problem was that I have to grind alot to get my pokemon to level which will match The first Gym Leader.
I hate grinding and specially when my pokemon get to Lv 12 and the most pokemon I can found is Lv 9 or less.
As I told before, at least I wanted to raise the pokemon Lv in Route 2 so grinding will not be much boring.

About my progress in Game,
Because I have the digimon project + work, I didn't get much time to play it alot. But, I like the Pikachu twin. They had splendid way to destroy any pokemon I had. Fortunately, I beat them and then didn't find time to complete more.
I will try to play it more

i made it across twist mountain to the tower...i beat the doctor and gym leader......first the gym leader then went back and beat the doctor.......im in the dragon thing tower...still not on the top will be soon

I've noticed that it freezes every time Drilbur evolves; it just goes to a black screen. I've tried it several times in several different places.

Furthermore, I've noticed the ev hotspots you mentioned do not exist. In the relic castle basement where you said there is a defense ev hotspot; there is only yanmask and Sandile. Neither of which provide a defensive ev much less a ev hotspot. For someone like me who prefers getting the most out of what they raise; this creates an excessively long ev training experience.
