Gaming Pokemon Pearl Event Cheat not working

I'm trying to use the Arceus Event cheat with my Pokemon Pearl on M3 DS Real, I have the Cheat Switch on Always on.

It says to press L and R when entering any Pokemart, I've tried pressing them at many different times, even holding them down.. but there's no man in green to talk to once I enter.

Has anyone else managed to get this to work>?

What do you mean? Press Select instead of L and R before going into a Pokemart?

did you enbale Mystery Gift?

-First go to the TV Station located in Jubilife City.
-Use the elevator to get to floor 3
-Head south once on the first floor to the couple.
-They will say that they want to interview you.
-Select "Everyone".
-In the next box on Select "Happy"
-He will proceed to ask you one more question.
-This time select ""Wi-FI", then "Connection"
-He will then mention somthing about you being a trainer and how he can pull some strings.
-Save.
-Shut off your DS and turn it back on
-On the menu where it displays your hours played, badges, newgame and continue, It will now show "MYSTERY GIFT"

now Event cheats should work

Yes, I have Mystery Gift in the screen where you load your game. I'm quite at a loss to why it's still not working.

Well, I'm not sure, I'm just going by the precompiled cheats in the latest cheat.db.

I did just try pressing it in the spots suggested, still no luck.


Edit : I've done some experimenting, it would seem it's not necessarily exclusive to the Event Cheats, some cheats work.. but most noticably the Button Input Dependant cheats do not...

I'm using V4.3a X firmware with my M3 Real, and the latest unofficial 27th march Cheat.db if it's relevant.

try using a cheat editor, i know Yasu made one, but you have to go get it yourself
(I'm not being mean, but if we post direct links, Yasu gets mad and I am pretty sure stops making updates in that language)
and then take out the button input part, tends to be the first line and looks something simialr to this:
91300000 FFFB0000
(front part may be a little different and if it is L+R, end will be different too, that one is for select)

if that doesnt help, change firmware, worked for me

I DON"T have mystery gift... and it worked amazingly well for me.

Also just incase, where can I get a different firmware other than the latest? And what one did the cheat work with you?

i used the actual game
anyway, make sure you get the first line right
it isnt exactly what i said
