Gaming Pokemon: HeartGold/SoulSilver Cheat Codes

Is there any place specifically I can go to see what phrases I can use? Unsure of exactly where all the NPCs are that ask about stuff are.

upon a successful reset
you should see at least 3 ? slots

Sure enough it looks like the phrases are reset back to the default. And just to be sure, I activated the NEW "All Phrases" code after I reset it, to see if that made a difference at all.

Still getting that communication error.

Yeah, I did. My NDS Backup Adapter should be in tomorrow, so I'll play with the phrases in Pokesav and see if I can't get myself straightened out.

Somebody else on the Pokecommunity forums is having the same exact problem, so I quoted your post and asked them to see if they had better luck. I'll let you know the results.

Will do. As soon as I'm able to extract it from my cart.

It seems like that should have been the problem. Trading worked before.. I used the phrases code, and now it crashes SPECIFICALLY when you talk to another Player Trainer in the Union room, or when you select "Chat" from the options.

well you can just have them easy, fair and square by just entering the first palet i guess palett town and exiting till they get to the first grass next to you and then get them

Alright. I didn't realize that there wasn't an option for phrases in the HG/SS version of Pokesav, unfortunately. Blegh. But, now I've got my save so I can play around with it on my flashcard. Also means I can use the more reliable AKAIO cheat engine, instead of the sometimes buggy Nitro Hax. I'll try to see what I can accomplish. This worries me that the fix worked for others but not for me.

Has anyone tried my save in the communication room?

Go here and download the R4CCE. Load your user.dat cheat file on your microSD card, and it's simple after that.

As for my "Communication Error" situation, I just retried the codes - both, in fact. The reset first. Then after a crash, the "All Phrases" code.

For anybody who'd like to see my situation, I've uploaded a new save here.

What happens is, when I go into the Union Room and press A next to a Player Trainer, or when I select "Chat" from the menu options, I get a blue screen saying there's a Communication Error, and my game resets. Other people had this, but the "Reset Phrases" code seems to have worked for them.

Anyhow, I'd appreciate it if someone would like to look into it. I'm at my last ends with it, so I'm just calling it quits and coming to terms with the fact that I'm 75% through a Pokemon game and I've lost the ability to trade.

i prefer that then the animation for going through doors. too much of a hassle.
