What this did
I removed the AP from the ROM
This means there is no longer Black screens

People keep saying this game works on CycloDS 1.58 beta 1, but it doesn't. It's got just as many crashes as on any other card... not sure what these guys are going on about with the 6th gym stuff.

I think the best way, as has been mentioned before, is to look for some form of event counter. Don't assume it'll be counting down though, it's very possible that it counts upwards and when it hits a certain value it branches to a particular function. Also don't assume the counter will start at 24, or 0 - it's incredibly easy to randomise these kinds of things, to the point where it could theoretically start at any value and end at any value 24 numbers higher, or even have a slight randomness to that total of 24 events. I counted more than 24 every time it crashed on my Cyclo, for example

I found a Guru2.narc in the data folder. Looking through it now...

just tried editing the file in DSM, tried changing numerical values = no effect

then deleted the entire file = no effect

so looks like it is unrelated

Guys, guru2.narc is useless, I analyzed and it is related to graphic data: panels, polygons, egg01, egg02, pSphere, material, etc...

Yeah. I only found things about polygons and stuff too, but didn't someone say that after a while all the tiles went black, and then another guy claimed it had something to do with the AP? So...who knows...

After 5 minutes or so the first freeze came.

I don't think deleting random files is going to help. If nintendo designed this anti-piracy with more than 2 braincells they wouldn't just stick it in its own file ready to be deleted - it'd be deep rooted somewhere within the game's code, most particularly somewhere where deleting the file would fuck the game sideways.

I tested by deleating guru2...now it freezes at 24 events (i have 1 badge)

Maybe try MagicISO? That's what I get when I search Google.
