ROM Hack Pokemon hack (ideas?)

Ok, I'm no hacker, but I just wanted to post an idea and question.

Is it possible to somehow change the batter system in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl into that of Megaman Battle Network? Map each of the 4 attacks to each face button.

Probably won't ever happen, but is there any chance? 1/1232132132132132132132132165436546?

Why would you want to do that?

You'd need someone with
a) the source files for the game and a devkit (IR be a part of gamefreak so not happening)
b)EXTREME hex editing ability.. Someone so smart.. they would know it would be a waste of time

The most simple way to go about doing it would be rewriting the entire Pokemon game engine with a new battle system.

Easier than hex editing the ROM or reverse engineering the source code out of it, at any rate.
