Hardware Pokéball Plus joystick on JoyCon?

Hi all,

I couldn't find anything regarding this on this website so I figured I would ask myself;
Has anyone ever tried replacing the JoyCon stick with the Pokéball Plus joystick? I know the stick is physically smaller but the assembly looks to be identical.
I think it would be a different user experience with the "L3" / "R3" buttons being buttons on top of the stick rather than the stick itself, so I'm curious whether anyone has tried this and can report how it was like.
