I decided to release the ACNH inventory cheat generator (ACNHICG) script I made for myself so everyone can use it.
It allows you to switch between pre-configured full inventories in-game by generating cheat codes for entire custom inventories. Here's how it works:

Note that this is intended to be just a PoC and temporary solution until a more sophisticated solution is available. I just got tired of doing all this manually, so I just went ahead and automated the boring stuff!

It allows you to switch between pre-configured full inventories in-game by generating cheat codes for entire custom inventories. Here's how it works:- Download and install the latest version of Python 3 (3.6.0 or newer) (make sure you enable the Add to PATH option and the Install py launcher option if possible/available)
- Open it with a text editor, e.g. Notepad++
- Download the attached release of the ACNHICG and extract it
- Download a copy of the item ID list from the OP of this post (or just use the one provided in the download)
- Open the items.txt included in the release, check out the format of items in the inventory you want
- Simply put, you just copy the full line of the item you want from the item ID datamine (use Ctrl + F (Cmd + F on Mac) to search) to your items.txt, and append the amount preceded by a space and an x, just check out the examples and it should be clear
- Note: Currently, item modifiers other than amount are not supported, but you can still try to make it work if you know what you're doing
- Note: You can make groups of inventory cheats by separating them with an empty line (inventory cheats with more than 40 items are split in parts for you automatically)
- Note: There has to be an empty line at the end of the file, and commas in item names MUST be replaced by an underscore
- When you're done editing items.txt, save and then double-click the inventory-cheat-gen script
- Give each of your inventory cheats a name
- Done! Copy the generated file to your Switch's SD card (the path is /atmosphere/contents/01006F8002326000/cheats/)
