Hello everyone,
I have a difficult situation. I'm prepared to hear "No, it's not possible" but I figured I'd double check and exhaust all of my options.

So here it goes.
I just received a copy of LoZ MM (Jap) in the mail. The sender didn't realise that the game was Japanese. I have a USA console and I want to play it, of course.
I would normally jump on regionthree, but it's disabled on my firmware (9.5.0-23U)
My console got updated when a friend borrowed it (ouch..)

I have a sky3ds. I know it's not the best but is there any way I can downgrade the firmware, or somehow break the region lock?

I wanna play MM.

Thanks for all help/replies in advance.

Not possible with sky. You need a nand backup. You need to enter gateway menu to backup your nand which i'm assuming you didn't do before.

No gateway, so not a chance.

I'm high up a creek in a boat without a paddle, it seems. It is morally OK to me to download the USA ROM :^) which I might resort to.

You don't need gateway to do a downgrade. You just needed to backup your nand in the gateway menu.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
