I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to patch a decrypted save for that. I might look into it eventually if someone better qualified doesn't do it first.

In the "SAVEDATA" file in a decrypted save you just have to change 9 bytes to unlock the Amiibo puzzles.

Top is unmodified, bottom is modified. That's the address for the first profile.

I don't have an account there, so I can't read threads :P
I'll have to update my EmuNAND and gateway too, I'm always outdated (or maybe firmware requirement is still auto-spoof by gateway). I don't play a lot.
But thanks for the informations.
For some reason I'm hesitant to pm a moderator with a link to pirated content...

Also, I found that Peach and Toad appear to unlock the same puzzle.
You can also substitute Smash Bros Mario with Classic 8-bit Mario, Smash Bros Yoshi with Yarn Yoshi, or Smash Bros Link with Smash Bros Toon Link, as long as it's the same basic character.
Strange, my blue Yarn Yoshi didn't unlock anything. Or do I need the green one?

Hiya peeps, wondering if anyone knows if there's AP protection on this game? Just been reading some other recent releases won't boot using the region free loader (and both my 3DS's are past the 9.2 firmware) Bit of a 3DS noob so not 100% sure what I'm going on about though
Don't fancy paying to import a game I won't be able to play, and as there's no Western release date yet....

I don't have an emuNAND set up right now so I can't play it. I'm using 9.2 and it's stuck at the Nintendo 3DS logo for me.

Once extracting the save using savedatafiler and changing those bytes, do I just import the save back without deleting the secure value?

So I went and made/updated my emunand so that the game would boot, and I must say it's a lot of fun. I will probably work towards unlocking the needed Amiibos myself rather than cheat them, considering I think a lot of my friends already have the Amiibos that are needed, and I am getting an NFC platform on Tuesday as well.

So does anyone know what the Picross Points (PP) are for? Is it just for unlocking more books to play through? It also seems that in the bottom corner there's three settings with different stars, and they seem to affect the PP multiplier at the end when you finish a puzzle, so I'm not sure what it's all for.

The stars are the difficulty level, which I guess affects the time limit, number of mistakes you're allowed and that kind of thing - and yeah affects the number of points you get. Yeah I don't know if the points do much besides unlock more puzzles, but I'm a weird perfectionist who has to get full points on each puzzle anyway.

do you really need Amiibo to unlock all the game?
I have no amiibo at all.
I wish there were optional unlock system (like auto-unlocked after xxxx completed level, or amount of stars)
I don''t have the game yet, but I don't like buying 50 amiibo to play one game :(

Amiiqo would be great, but I don't have a phone either

It isn't all that bad, it's only seven(?) levels, so it's not like they're cutting the penultimate scene of the story out and selling it to you as DLC :P But it does look like the only way to get em is via Amiibo or hex editing.

thanks for the info.
I thought there were more puzzles unlocked with amiibo.
so it's only one per character? I feared it was an entire group of levels.

I guess a save with all 7 unlocked puzzle will be released for US/EU version too.

edit:
ahh, that's right, only N3DS has amiibo support. I don't even have a N3DS so I wouldn't be able to unlock these levels "officially" >__>

There's 9 Amiibo puzzles, not 7.

Also, there's an adapter that lets you use Amiibo on an old 3DS.
