Well I don't think there is a huge difference , I buy them in 20 packs on aliexpres.
U also need to watch out if that u get genuine amtech/limbo there are fake ones on the market and they are trash yes I also had the fun with them there just like Vaseline
For a noob, is it easier to use flex cable or use wires?

Well a noob can do both , before u get started on the switch I would get at least a empty PCB and solder some wire to it for 30-60 min just so u get the feeling for soldering.
Bit sure the flex cable is easier since u don't have to solder that many wires.
Don't forget to use flux that makes things alot easier

The D point has me worried for the flex. In the Sthetix videos, he uses direct wires.

If you have to pick between wires and flex, which is easier?

I've already modded other consoles where I need soldering skills.

I ordered the chip to see the size of the pads, and they are much larger than people describe.

I think with a microscope I will be able to pull it off.

Flex has me worried since that D point looks very sensitive.

hi a have small problem i am getting this error and a checked everything and even resolder

I only install with 0.2mm enameled wire, just cheaper and no waiting time plus a lot of people have issue with the flex cables and there quality. Plus I don't support hwfly Xd but that's a story for itself.

Its not hard set the MOSFETs with uvmask on the position first the top one cure it then the second one cure it then do ur wiring ;-)

What temp are you setting your iron for switch mod? Do you use a plastic spudger to open the switch?

What should I do to prevent the screen from getting scratched on the oled while working on it?

Hello!
Do you know anything about the blue screen? I have a 1.1 version that displays the "NO SD Card" screen, but when I press Vol+ and Vol- to enter the original system, a blue screen appears. And when I insert the micro SD card, the screen remains black.
have the same thing happen to me with my switch lite. anybody knows how to fix it? resetting does not work.

Depends on. I think 300-350
Sure I have a kit from I Fix It I use those plastik things to open it.

For screen protection for all the switches I do I use transfer tape that I have from my plotting maschien (its used to make stickers.
The transfer tape is used to transfer the sticker to the object and does not leave any residue

Getting .45v from this switch for DAT0. Used 3 different adapters. Is .45 sufficient?

Depends on the emmc not sure anymore think between 0.5 and 0.9
But ur using one of those 0at0 adapters which tend to bridge dat0 and dat1.
Best bet for u if ur doing a lot oled learn how to reflow that way ull never have such issues i have done 20 Oleds and never had an issue during the install.
In generell I only had one issue out of 40+ installs and that was on my first mod where I tried 1 MOSFET so I used 2 and never had a issue after that.

Just started practicing today for the reball. Don’t feel confident enough yet.
