He wants to know the color immediately after flashing, before you unplug the chip, not just resetting an already flashed chip.

Chances are also that your purple is meant to be cyan and you need to set the RGB jumper. Cyan indicates a bad connection to the mosfet.
Hi sorry yes I know he meant that and when it's plugged into pc and flashed it's blue then purple..will try another rp2040 just in case that one is dodgy.. thanks

so it gives u red after flashing ? or green?
we are not talking about after when u flash it and plug it back in
u drop the uf2 file and 1 sec after that there is supossed to be red or green light

Havent attempted this yet. Thinking ahead to removing the usb port and buttons ... For buttons i can just short pads to go into boot mode or reset, I'm assuming. For the 2040zero though, what's the best way to flash firmware again AFTER removing the port? I have uart analyzers and i2c to usb converters. Im assuming i would have to use that? What are people doing for this?

Hello all,

I want to give this modchip a go but I dont want to get shady parts that will fail. Anyone in the UK attempted this? If so could you direct me to where I can get decent components?

Thanks!

What?
Just buy them at your local electronics shop or whatever. Order them from Amazon if so.

there her people with the same problem on 2.6

after flashib 2.5 toshiba solved the issue

only desolder the usb after u installed the rp2040 and kno there is no issue going on . Picofly is still in development it is not 100%issue free most of the time it works but there are still some small issues here and there
thinks. It is not difficult to the 2040 zero. If necessary, I will buy another one for scheduling or replacement:D

ah okay if u get 2.61 succesfully runing u can uninstall everything and upgrade with pico toolbox

not sure if pico toolbox works with 2.5
My V2 LITE is using FW2.5+UNLOCK.uf2. It cannot be updated using. bin. The information shows that the update was successful, but it still boots with FW2.5+UNLOCK.uf2.

And I don't know if you can understand what I mean?

thank you for your reply, but i haven't installed it in the switch yet, i was asking about the led light when flash drop the uf2 file into the rp2040, i want to make sure it flashed properly before removing the usb and the button . It doesn't show any led light when I flash, only blue -> purple light when I press reset button

Updating only was implemented in 2.6 and up. 2.5 can't update from the toolbox.
