Ensure the CPU flat cable is properly attached and well-soldered.

If you use a single MOSFET, ensure the wires are short and thick. You need at least 0.2mm diameter copper wires, like here:
What about the cable from the mosfet to the chip? Should it also be copper and short or does it matter?

I was wondering what's the use of talking about installation, cable length and thickness when we don't have the firmware that is the most important part?

Low cost to do?
Most parts on hand?
Parallel Processing?
Eagerness/Excitement?
Discussion doesn’t hurt anything?
Positive outlook that it will happen soon?
Avoid long delays on unique parts?
Filling the time with something useful while we wait?
Divergent thinkers don’t follow the pack?
Better w/ Hardware than w/ Software?
General curiosity?

Other than that, I have no idea. Baffling, really.

If I'm not wrong, It's possible to run Hekate and Linux/Android ATM. The problem is we don't have the firmware for running Atmosphere.

Hello, I'm trying to follow the thread on a regular basis, I'm very impressed with your work and I'm excited as it develops. I have a question for you because I can't find a diagram that shows exactly how to mount the rp2040?

cant wait to see what this brings when its all done :-)
if u guys need some help with tests of the firmware i also have a V2 and i am whilling to run some tests just waiting for the parts to arrive so i can put them in to my v2 switch.

Good luck, this may seen like a stupid idea but why not compare the original firmware we got that was I'd locked (assuming it can boot atmosphere) compare it to the Ubuntu only one. Find where the sd payload is in the Id locked one and copy it over?

Note I'm not a programmer and have no idea I'd this would even work
A few reasons.

First and foremost is that both firmwares are obfuscating the payloads. I genuinely believe it would be easier (and faster) for me to just start over rather than de-obfuscate the code. I’m pretty certain that you can’t even do that on Rehius’s firmware.

Second, I don’t want to use someone else’s work. As a reference? Sure. But to just take someone else’s work, copy in some other part that isn’t mine, and then shove it all on you as “mine” just feels wrong.

Third and most importantly, pride. I want to see if I can do this. I like a challenge.

Also for the record, I’ve had a nice long chat with Rehius. His firmware is not for sale, nor will it be for sale by him or anyone else. Can we please stop that speculation about him selling his firmware? That is not his intent nor was it ever his intent. Like me, he did this just to see if he could.

Edit to add: he did not ask me to bring this up. But he mentioned that everyone wants him to just “give it away”. And he would be fine with that. Just one problem. Ninjas. Same thing I’m worried about. The damn ninjas.
