If i m not mistaken , Rehius said in public that there will be no piracy support in the question if hos will ever boot by his firmware. It is intentional that it doesn't boot HOS , he could allow HOS but he doesn't want to , to prevent piracy by all means.

There is nothing we can expect from a FW that cannot boot the HOS.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I recall Atmosphere had the same 'issue' with the original modchip from TX.
Only TX could boot into HOS, effectively blocking all other CFWs from using the TX modchip.
TX also cleared the keys, preventing Atmosphere from booting into HOS.
But how would TX themselves be able to boot into HOS without those keys then?
Has anybody seen some details on that?

Indeed but the chip costs money and that prevents a big amount of people from using/installing it.
If the chip becomes free , we ll see a huge spike of hacked consoles as well as a huge spike of broken consoles hahahaha
Well that could be a win win for the company if they are making enough from the console sales as apart from the broken ones that will get replaced, a lot of people will buy a second one to hack.

I doubt its that far yet. If people were selling the firm I'm sure we would have more firms dumped and uploaded by now.
